I brought a Dell Inspiron with i5- 450M Processor. Now, I want to use Windows XP Service Pack 2 because few of my softwares don't support my existing Operating System (Windows 7 Home Premium) in my laptop. Is Windows XP is compatible with i5 processor. Thanks, Siba The i5-450M processor probably is compatible, but I doubt that you'll find any XP drivers for the rest of the hardware in the laptop.
Go to the Dell site with your specific model (or, better, your service tag) and see if there are XP drivers. If not, don't bother installing XP.
